Funding for pedestrian measures in Carrick

Funding for much needed pedestrian safety measures in Carrick on Suir have been given a guarded welcome.

As part of the county wide allocation of funding announced by the National Roads Authority €40 thousand was earmarked for remedial works on the Pill Road in Carrick on Suir where there are two schools.

This was in addition to €27 thousand allocated last year.

While welcoming this funding local County Councillor Joe Brennan feels more could have been done.
