Local T.D. Tom Hayes has welcomed funding of €200,000 for Larkspur Park in Cashel.
The money will be used to upgrade existing tennis courts, provide an additional court, external lighting and practice wall and extend the clubhouse.
The funding comes under the Encouragement of Tourism Activities measure of the Rural Development Programme 2007-2013.
Deputy Hayes says this project will be of immense benefit to Cashel with its total project costs of €308,000.
He says it will enable Larkspur Park to offer tourists visiting Cashel a quality centre for sports and recreation as well as enhancing the offering to the local community.
