In one of the restoration projects, €37,500 will be granted for the County Gaol in Nenagh with €18,000 for St. Mary’s Church in Killenaule

Nationally over 650 projects across the country will receive financial support with €8.1 million for the conservation and protection of architectural buildings and €1.25 million in support for thatched buildings.

Clonmel TD Michael Murphy also suggests that the Built Heritage Investment Scheme is a perfect example of an initiative to revitalise our town centres and to bring vacant and derelict buildings back into use.
