The tests on burgers, ready meals and pasta dishes were part of an ongoing EU programme on food fraud.
The FSAI says the test results demonstrate compliance by the industry – following last year's horsemeat controversy.

However a separate study by the Food Safety Authority on lamb dishes in takeaways found other meats in 7 of the 20 foods sampled.
Most of the so-called “lamb” kebabs contained little or no lamb – but instead contained chicken and beef.
The FSAI says while that's not a safety issue – it does raise concerns about misleading consumers.
