The launch by Justice for the Forgotten – which represents victims of the bombings – comes just before the 40th anniversary of the atrocity this weekend.

The Barron report – published in 2003 – found that the Gardai had failed to properly investigate the bombings and had closed their inquiries prematurely.

British security forces are believed to have colluded with the UVF who claimed responsibility for the attack.

The British government has refused to release security files that relating to the attack.
