At their recent municipal district meeting, it was claimed that the service, which allows cars to park for free all day, was being abused by traders and workers
It's claimed that the spaces are being taken up by workers therefore leaving no room for shoppers to avail of the initiative.

A proposal to limit free parking in the car parks to 2 hours was made by Nenagh Municipal Council director Marcus O'Connor.
However, Independent representative Hughie McGrath says they will keep the free parking but there are problems to be addressed.
