Earlier this morning, Gardai attended an incident – of horses wandering onto the public roadway and posing a hazard to motorists in the Littleton area.
Following ongoing reports, Gardaí arrived at the scene and in a joint operation also involving the Department of Agriculture and Tipperary County Council, seized four horses which were suspected of not being microchipped.

One man was also arrested on suspicion of obstruction of Gardaí in the course of the operation but was later released.
The horses seized have since been taken to the pound.
