The North's first minister could be forced to step aside from her role later today.
Arlene Foster is facing a motion of no confidence in Stormont, over her role in a so-called “cash for ash” scheme.
Opposition parties are calling for her resignation, while Sinn Fein will ask her to temporarily step aside to allow an inquiry.
The controversial scheme, which aimed to subsidise renewable fuels in the North, was open to widespread abuse and is due to cost taxpayers there 400 million pounds over the next 20 years.
But Mrs Foster, who has just marked her first year as leader of the Democratic Unionist Party, says she has no intention of stepping down.
