This included 10 years as the Chaplain to Roscrea Vocational School, 3 as a curate in Roscrea and 7 years in the Nenagh Parish.
Fr. Cahir retired in August 2010 but continued to serve in Birr as Assistant Priest.

He will be buried in Birr on Sunday following funeral mass.
