Four men including two juveniles have been arrested following what gardai believe was a foiled robbery at a garage on the Limerick Road outside the town early this morning.
Officers were alerted to Pierces Garage, Limerick road after a pair of young men noticed a parked car, across from the premises which had it's licence plates covered.
The four occupants of the car were wearing balaclavas. One of the occupants was in possession of a hatchet, however there were no firearms involved.
Following the information the gardai were quickly on the scene. The four are being questioned at Tipperary Town garda station. They can be held for 24 hours.
