11 units of the Tipperary fire service are at the scene of a major fire outside Nenagh this morning
The alarm was raised just before 7 o'clock yesterday evening.
Units from across North Tipperary are still at the scene of the major fire at TIPO on the outskirts of Nenagh this morning.
The blaze broke out around 10 to 7 last night, emergency services rushed to the scene on the main Thurles road…
Fire services from Nenagh, Cloughjordan, Borrisokane, Roscrea and Thurles attended the fire…this morning water tenders, tankers and hydraulic platforms are still in operation as fire-fighters battle to bring the blaze under control.
The road, the R498 is closed from Ballinamona cross…Gardaí are at the scene and diversions are in place. It's expected the road will remain closed for most of the day.
People that are travelling to Thurles from Nenagh are being advised to take the M7 to Roscrea and go via Templemore.
There are no reports of any injuries
