Fire service reminder to be safe in the sun

The fire service in Tipperary are reminding people to be careful in the warm, dry weather that they don’t inadvertently start a fire.

It comes as 28 firefighters from across Tipperary battled a serious blaze on bogland near Littleton earlier in the week.

Simple things like leaving a glass bottle in the sun could be enough to spark off a fire, with the sun reflecting off its surface.
