It’s the final afternoon of the royal visit to Ireland.

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall were in Glasnevin Cemetery this morning for a special ceremony.

A tone of reconciliation this morning as Prince Charles and Arts & Heritage Minister Heather Humphreys laid wreaths at a memorial that recognises the soldiers from both sides who died during the 1916 Rising.

The Prince and Duchess were given a tour around Glasnevin, and visited the graves of Eamon de Valera and Michael Collins as well as the republican plot.

The Prince has just finished a meeting with Taoiseach Enda Kenny at Government Buildings while Camilla is visiting the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.

Later they go to the British Ambassadors residence at Glencairn.

Significant there will be the presence of Gerry Adams who will meet the prince more than 40 years after the IRA murdered a British Ambassador at the site.

That visit rounds out the four day tour of Ireland north and south by Charles and Camilla.
