Gardaí from across the country carried out a major operation yesterday morning which included a series of raids…nine people, including a juvenile, were arrested and brought to various stations in Tipperary.
The operation involved Gardaí from Cahir, Tipp Town, Thurles and Clonmel while they were backed up by 20 officers from the National Parks and Wildlife Service.

A number of “Lurcher” breed dogs and equipment were also seized.
Inspector Eddie Golden, who headed up the operation, says they had received reports of illegal hunting and killing of hares on private lands at a number of locations in the Thurles, Tipperary and Cahir areas.
