Fianna Fáil leader criticises Leo Varadkar for Jobstown comments

Micheál Martin has accused the Taoiseach of ‘interfering’ in the Jobstown case, by calling for an internal investigation into Garda actions.

The Fianna Fáil leader says Leo Varadkar’s comments are “ill judged” and set “a dangerous precedent”.

It’s emerged that an internal Garda investigation into the handling of the Jobstown case is underway, following Leo Varadkar’s comments on the issue last night.

But Micheál Martin says the Taoiseach is giving the impression Gardai lied in the witness box.
