Kantar Worldpanel's latest 12 week report shows cross-border shopping only accounted for zero point three per cent of sales – however the group says at the peak of the recession this stood at over four per cent.
It's raising fears that shoppers in the Republic may return to old habits and begin journeying north for food and drink.
