A 53 year-old motorcyclist has died following the two vehicle crash on the Tipperary- Offaly border.
The collision – involving a motorcycle and a 4-by-4 vehicle – happened at Annagh Cross outside Borrisokane at around 12.30pm.
The man was treated at the scene by emergency services, but was pronounced dead a short time later.
The driver of the 4-by-4 was uninjured.
The R438 from Borrisokane is closed between Walsh Park Cross and Taylors Cross while Gardai carry out a forensic examination of the scene.
Gardaí in Nenagh are appealing for any witnesses to contact them on 067 31333.
