Permission has been granted to develop another section of Lisheen Mine.
North Tipperary County Council has approved a planning application from the company to commence work on the Derryville Island Ore Deposit.

This will include underground mine workings, as an extension to the existing Lisheen Mine and the construction of a ventilation shaft and surface building.
The local authority has attached five conditions to the planning approval.
