Permission has been granted for major works at the Gaelscoil in Clonmel.
The plans include the construction of a much needed eight classroom extension as well as the refurbishment and renovation of the existing primary school.

The building at Upper Irishtown is a protected structure.
Clonmel Borough Council's planning department has also approved the demolition of all existing outbuildings in the former council yard.
