Deputy Coonan described it as a great achievement for both schools whose teachers and pupils were very innovative in their projects.

The Blue Star Programme was a pilot programme for primary schools nationally. The objective was to encourage primary schools to undertake a module of tasks and projects on topics broadly related to the European Union.
