Economic Growth is expected to be strong for this year and 2016, according to the latest ESRI forecast.

Irelands Gross National Product is set to grow by 4 per cent each year.

In the Quarterly Economic Commentary, published today, the ESRI researchers also predict a decline in unemployment to 8.4 per cent in 2016.

According to Associate Research Professor at the ESRI Kieran McQuinn this is thanks to strong domestic growth.
