Engineering Firm convicted of toxic spill in to Tipp River

An environmental engineering firm has been convicted following a toxic chemical spill into a river in Tipperary.

Glanua Group Ltd was found to have caused harmful matter to flow into the River Suir at Holycross and directed to pay fines and expenses.

The firm operates Thurles Water Treatment Plant on behalf of Uisce Eireann.
