Tipperary to host climate change meeting

Tipperary will play host to a major European meeting on climate change next month.

Environmental leaders from across the E.U. will travel to Clonmel on September 12th for one of the largest ever gatherings from the sector to take place on Irish soil.

Ireland was recently labelled the second worst in Europe in terms of progressing towards renewable energy and meeting our climate change goals, with large fines looming in the event of non-compliance.

The Tipperary Energy Agency will host the event, their CEO, Paul Kenny told Tipp Today it was no wonder that the premier was chosen for the venue
