The Tipperary based South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association were called out twice over the weekend.
The first was shortly after 7 o’clock on Saturday evening when Gardaí requested their help in locating a walker who had gotten lost in Glengarra Woods – they were found shortly after by a patrol car while the SEMRA team were responding.
Just before 5 o’clock yesterday evening another call from the Gardaí alerted them to a walker who was unsure of their position on the Galtees as darkness was falling.
The SEMRA volunteers made their way up the mountain in slippery conditions with dense fog making navigation difficult.
The walker was located just after 7pm and brought down the Black Rd and transported back to their car.
