Significant money raised for local RNLI station

The efforts of over 250 cyclists has raised vital funds for the Lough Derg RNLI services.

The annual Lap the Lake charity cycle on Saturday has been hailed as a resounding success with some completing the 120km route on a full circuit of Lough Derg while others opted for the 65km course.

In all €17,500 was raised for the volunteer rescue service which is stationed at Dromineer.
