Nearly 1,000 homes and businesses in Tipperary are still without electricity this lunchtime.
Over 500 of these are in the greater Nenagh area – ESB crews aim to have power restored by around 2pm.
In the Cappawhite area there are in excess of 300 homes are without supply since around 3.30 this morning. It should be back within the hour according to the ESB.
Meanwhile it could be 7.30 this evening before power is restored to around 50 homes and businesses in the Ardfinnan area.
The National Emergency Coordination Group has been meeting this morning, to discuss the response.
