Busy Halloween for Tipperary fire crews

Fire and Rescue crews in the Premier County were called to deal with a total of 15 bonfires last night.

According to Fire Control Roscrea were called out on five occasions overnight.

The Carrick on Suir crew dealt with three incidents while Clonmel and Thurles both had two callouts to bonfires.

The units in Templemore, Cahir and Tipp Town were each called to outdoor fires once over Halloween.

While Gardaí across the county reported a relatively quiet night with just the usual random fireworks there were a number of incidents in Tipperary Town.

Stones were thrown at vehicles resulting in a number of broken windscreens while a sofa was dragged onto the street in James Connolly Park and set alight.
