Election campaign gets into full swing.

Candidates can, from today, put up election material in public places, most will put up posters on lamp-posts and along busy routes. 

The local and European elections will take place on Friday 23rd May – it'll be the first time that the public will be voting for one, amalgamated Tipperary County Council.

Under law, election material can't go up until 30 days before polling day, which is today. 

All posters have to be removed one week after voting takes place.
