Ryan O’Meara will be heading to Dublin tomorrow for his first Fianna Fáil Parliamentary Party meeting as an elected member of Dáil Éireann.

It’s been a remarkable year for the Cloughjordan man who has gone from being a Parliamentary Assistant to a County Councillor and now a TD.

Ryan told Tipp FM that the rollercoaster continues but he doesn’t intend to be slow in coming forward following his election.

“There is really no time for a break. The work is starting immediately with a Fianna Fáil Parliamentary Party meeting on Wednesday to start off with so the work is immediate.

“I guess similar to what I did in the Council when I got elected and I was first in there – a new voice – but I’m not afraid to have my opinion heard and speak up for North Tipperary – North West Kilkenny. I haven’t been afraid to do that in the Council and I don’t intend to shy back in Dail Éireann either in the Chamber or in the Parliamentary Party meetings.”
