Housing, water, health, policing and immigration dominated the topics in the first of Tipp FM’s Election Debates.
Independents Mattie McGrath, Seamus Healy and Fine Gael’s Michael Murphy took part in what was at times a heated discussion.
All three candidates set out their stall on Tipp Today this morning.
Local issues were also on the agenda, with division over when the promised new Garda station for Clonmel will be delivered.
Issues with water supply across the County was also discussed with the two Independents calling for Uisce Eireann to be abolished outright.
And of course immigration caused division, with criticism at how the placing of IPA’s has been handled in Tipperary.
The next panel debate will be in Nenagh on Tuesday with Independent TD Michael Lowry, Labour Deputy Alan Kelly and Fianna Fáil Councillor Michael Smith.
