Having topped the poll in Tipperary South Independent candidate Mattie McGrath has exceeded the quota on the 2nd count.
It follows the distribution of votes from Myriam Madigan (GP), Rosemary McGlone (AON), John McGrath (NP), Nadaline Webster (II) and Bill Fitzgerald (Ind) who were eliminated after the 1st count.
McGrath received 578 transfers bringing him to 10,592 with the quota set at 10,270.
Labour’s Michael ‘Chicken’ Brennan has been eliminated with his votes distributed as have Independent John O’Heney’s who was eliminated on the 3rd count.
Michael Murphy was the main beneficiary picking up 1,097, Goldsboro got 713, Browne 715 and Healy 754.
Deputy Mattie McGraths surplus is now being distributed.
