A number of urban centres in the Premier County are already twinned with towns and cities across the world.
However the Cathaoirleach of the Carrick on Suir Municipal District says many of these links are not very active.

Independent Councillor Eddie O'Meara says twinning with other English speaking countries may be the way to go.
