Efforts to secure future of Clonmel St Patrick’s Day Parade.

The meeting is being organised by the Mayor of the District, Councillor Martin Lonergan along with the Council following the withdrawal of Cumann Tobar Naomh Padraig from the event. the committee had run the parade in Clonmel for the last 12 years.

However, following what was described as a 'lack of definitive funding', the group says it will not be taking part in this year's festivities.

A public meeting will take place tonight from 8 o'clock in the Town Hall for anyone interested in getting involved in this year's parade.
