A Tipperary Independent TD believes there are many schools around the country which are ready and able to open places for children with additional educational needs.
It follows a series of protests over recent months by parents who have been refused places for their child.
The Education Minister Helen McEntee says – teachers will go through mandatory assessed placement – in a special education setting.
Independent TD Seamus Healy believes there are many areas where the places for children could be filled;
“There are very many schools around the country who are willing and able to open school places, including Bansha National School in County Tipperary, who are ready willing and able to open these classes. They have engaged with the department and are still awaiting sanction”
