Taoiseach appoints Deputy Ryan O’Meara as party Education spokesperson

Tipperary North representative Ryan O’Meara has been appointed as the new Fianna Fáil Spokesperson on Education.

The first time TD has also nominated by the party to a number of Oireachtas Committees – Education and Youth, Defence & National Security and the Committee on Budgetary Oversight.

The area of education is one the Cloughjordan man has expressed an interest in previously.

“My ambition for this area, my determination for this area – but my passion for it as well.

“I guess education is the foundation of all opportunity in this country – I think we need to see further investment in it and strengthening of our education system because really it is the great equaliser that allows all children regardless of their background to advance in life and advance in society.”
