Disability services in Tipperary will be a key focus for local Fine Gael TD Michael Murphy.

It was one of the major topics which emerged during the General Election campaign.

The Clonmel based Deputy has already held a number of conversations with the Principal of Scoil Aonghusa in Cashel last week.

He told Tipp Today earlier that he has also raised the issue with Senior Ministers.

“My first meeting with the Tánaiste was about Scoil Aonghusa, my first meeting with the Minister for Education was about Scoil Aonghusa.

“They’ve been let down and that’s just one example, notwithstanding the 9,000 people that are waiting for their first assessment, the understaffing of the CDNT teams – I hope to be meeting those next week as well – and that whole area is a key priority.”
