Enterprise Minister Peter Burke was in Thurles last night to launch a new Department of Business and Accounting at MIC.
The new department will be based across the local St Patricks campus as well as the main Mary Immaculate campus in Limerick.

Thurles students will continue to study business for teaching but the College is now offering non-teaching degrees in the business subjects as well.
Head of the new Department Dr Rebecca Purcell says it’s an important statement of intent for MIC.
