Workers at the Bord na Mona factory in Littleton have been informed that they can renegotiate the terms of their redundancy packages.

Minister for Public Expenditure Paschal Donohue has formally laid out the parameters of a negotiating position for workers, and it’s now expected an adequate agreement will be reached following a meeting of workers unions with Bord na Mona management next Tuesday.

It would see what has been described as the ‘meagre’ package currently in place, adjusted to reflect the years of dedication of the workers, as well as the forced nature of the redundancies.
