The lack of a by-pass for Tipp has long been seen as a major impediment in attracting new businesses to the town.

However Labour TD Alan Kelly, who was involved in the discussions along with Invest Tipperary and IDA Ireland, says if a large number of jobs are created at the Sky Innovation Park progress might also be made on easing traffic problems with the construction of a by-pass.
