Merchants Quay Ireland's annual review for 2013 shows demand for services at its Midlands Harm Reduction Outreach Service rose by more than a third.

It also found that 58 percent of admissions to its St Francis Farm Detox unit and nearly half of those accessing its drug-free rehab service came from outside Dublin.
