This is despite the best efforts of Gardaí in the Division who have continue to make arrests.

Sgt Carol O’Leary says motorists are being apprehended at all times of the day and night.

“There was a driver arrested after a traffic crash, three o’clock in the morning at the
Clonmel area”

“In another case, a car went on fire over in cashel, just off the motorway
there, thankfully nobody was injured. But while the driver was being spoken, it was discovered that he was under the influence. So he was arrested and will be before the courts.

“Half three on a Sunday afternoon, driver arrested for drink driving in the Templemore area, where Gardai noticed the car swerving across the road.”
