A motorist passing through Cashel last night had his journey interrupted by Gardaí.
He was stopped in the Wallers Lot area of the town at around 9.30pm.
The driver tested positive for cocaine and opiates after providing an oral fluid test.
A search of the vehicle uncovered suspected heroin and an offensive weapon.
The driver was arrested with a court appearance to follow.
