Drive to promote lesser known Tipperary heritage attractions

The iconic Rock was the 10th most popular visitor site in Ireland last year with 350,000 people passing through its gates – up 117,000 on 2013.

Parts of Tipperary are now being marketed through the Ireland's Ancient East campaign which was launched earlier this year.

Ruairi Dean is manager of the project – he says they are now trying to strike a balance between visitor numbers at the flagship site and the slightly lesser known ones such as Cahir Castle and the Swiss Cottage
