Dogs Trust say take up of micro chipping is low

The Dogs Trust charity says only 40 per cent of dog owners have micro-chipped their pets – in spite of it being a legal requirement.

The group’s launched a drive this week to ensure it happens and is offering free advice clinics in Dublin and Kildare.

Dogs Trust are offering free certificates to dog owners who have their dogs micro-chipped but haven’t registered them on the Fido.ie database.
