Doctors facing legal battle to keep pregnant woman alive

Doctors, who are keeping a pregnant woman alive in hospital, could face a legal battle to turn off the life support machine.

It's emerged that the clinically dead woman is being kept alive against her parents' wishes, who are now considering legal action.

It's reported she suffered major injuries as a result of a blood clot, but is being kept on life support to preserve her unborn child.

It's understood the pregnancy is in its second trimester.

Justine Murphy from the Abortion Rights Campaign says the case highlights Ireland's inhumane abortion laws.
