North Tipperary County Council had refused permission to ESB Wind Development and Coillte for sixteen 145 metre high wind turbines on Keeper Hill.
This decision was taken to the state planning appeals board who overruled their own inspectors report and gave the green light.

Former chairman of An Taisce Charles Stanley Smith from Dromineer says they are disappointed at the decision but stressed they are not opposed to wind farms per se.
