They say they are disappointed that John   found it necessary to resign but respect and accept his decision.

John has made a major contribution to Tipperary football since he came to the county in late 2007, increasing

the profile of football in Tipperary
He  guided the senior team from Division 4 to Division 2 of the Allianz football league in successive seasons,

He managed the Tipperary under 21 footballers to their first ever Munster title in 2010 and he played an
important role as a coach in last year’s All Ireland minor football triumph.

The Board says this year’s disappointing league results will not take from the hugely positive legacy that John leaves behind in Tipperary.
