The debate over Government Ministers meeting with Michael Lowry has taken a new twist.
In recent days the Environment Minister Phil Hogan came under fire for meeting the Independent Deputy in March of last year, just days after Michael Lowry was criticised in the Moriarty Report.
Now the Justice Minister has refused to say if he met with the North Tipp T.D
All other Cabinet members have been quite open about whether or not they have had a meeting with Deputy Lowry – however Alan Shatter told the Irish Independent that he was not participating in Independent Newspapers' agenda.
For his part Minister Phil Hogan pointed out that Michael Lowry was elected by the people of North Tipperary and as such had a right to make representations on their behalf.
