The project consists of 8 wind turbines with a maximum hub height of 85 metres and a blade tip height of 126 metres.

A spokesperson for the company says information letters have been sent to local residents, that all of the appropriate environmental studies will be both carried out and published while an Environmental Impact Statement will be prepared for the planning application.

In the meantime the company intends to examine the site in more detail adding that as a starting point, a temporary wind measurement mast has been erected on Carrigadoon Hill and will be decommissioned following the completion of a wind measurement campaign.
