A deputation from the local authority will travel to Dublin on June 10th to lobby Pascal Donoghue for increased monies to make up for the shortfall in this year's allocation.
It was proposed the group of 8 or 9 would include the heads of the 5 districts along with the Cathaoirleach, CEO and other senior council officials.

However Sinn Fein expressed annoyance that it wasn't included while others felt that Thurles also needed to have its own representative.
In the end it was agreed David Doran would join the deputation but Cathaoirleach – Fine Gael's Michael Fitzgerald warned against political points scoring.
